The renovation of the Afsluitdijk is a major infrastructural project. The province of Friesland selected MMEK’ to make a tourist destination plan for Kornwerderzand. The ultimate goal is to allow visitors to discover and appreciate the natural values of the area. MMEK’ created visitor facilities with different functions that are interconnected by a number of walking paths. The facilities have a design and a size that makes them destinations in the area.
